The demo sleeps when idle, so the first load can take about a minute to wake up.
Why it matters
A demo turns a model into something reef scientists, funders and engineers can try in a browser, without installing anything. This was the first preview of new model development in 2026.
What I did
- Shipped a public Gradio demo of the MERMAID segmentation models (linear concept bottleneck, DPT and DPT+LoRA) on Hugging Face ZeroGPU, with the MERMAID team.
- Added views for MERMAID classes, taxonomy rank from Kingdom to Genus, and concept predictions.
